First week of Religious Education

Greetings everyone, our first week of religious education has come to a conclusion.  What a great way to start the new year.  A very special thank you to all of the parents for entrusting us with their greatest gift, their children.  We also want to thank all of the catechists who are giving of themselves for the purpose of handing on the faith to our youngest generation of Catholics.  We are looking forward to next week!

What a Week!!!

This past week here at Holy Cross/Our Lady of the Scapular was filled with the joyous sounds of our annual Vacation Bible School.  Over 80 youngsters filled our Parish Center with their prayers, their songs and of course their joy.  The theme of Standing Strong in Faith was echoed throughout the week in bible passages, songs and stories.  Our prayer is that these young people will grow ever stronger in their love for Jesus Christ.  A very special thank you to Lena, Terry, the Teen Group, an incredible amount of support and help from parents as well as some our seventh and eighth graders for making this a week to remember!
